Awareness Sessions on Female Menstrual Poverty, Given to Both Females and Males
Number of Beneficiaries
80
The association carried out two awareness sessions for women and two for men and provided new information about the menstrual cycle during the sessions: its definition, the cause of its occurrence and the functions of hormones related to it, the importance of recognizing and appreciating the nature of our bodies, the menstrual cycle’s connection with fertility and reproduction, and safe methods of family planning.
These sessions are essential for providing correct health information for males, breaking stereotypes and taboos, and aiming to make men and boys allies of women in reducing violence against them.
The sessions were concluded with the distribution of rations including women's supplies.
