"The Human" Mural and Panel Discussion

The mural titled "The Human" was launched during an event in the evening organized by the association. The painting shows two people standing face to face sharing similar feelings, emotions, and sensations.

A series of stories were told to initiate a dialogue about gender, its roles, and masculinities. The stories presented said the lives of women who have left a remarkable impact on their communities and who had received real support from men. The young men and women held an interactive discussion with the audience to think, analyze, extract messages, and shed light on ideas after reading each story. This interactive activity encouraged men and boys to share their ideas and perceptions regarding gender roles and masculinities and also created a safe space for the participants to express their thoughts comfortably and constructively while discussing a very sensitive topic.
