Since July-December 2015, Abnaa Saida Association (ASA) has implemented the “Youth, Together” project, which is a youth initiative in partnership with Masar Association and Action Aid. It aims to increase youth participation in decision-making at the local level, encourage the municipality of the importance of their participation, develop a mechanism to sustain their representation in the municipal council, and meet their authentic needs through joint activities with the local community which serve in building personal skills and skills of demanding and lobbying. The project also educated youth between the ages of 15 and 29 in Old Saida on the importance of participating in public affairs, proper methods of communication, and the implications of the use of violence psychologically, physically, and socially.
